1. Planning: it is important to divide the number of study days between the subjects to be resit, to give yourself some visibility (for example, 4 study days per subject);

2. Realism: spending a full second term at ECAM while going away for three weeks in July on a scout camp... perhaps deserves some time to think 😉

3. Regularity: avoid 'tunnels' of 14 hours of study per day. Blockade + session = in-depth test; it is important to set yourself a regular rhythm, which you will maintain until the last exam in August;

4. Study, not just 'work': too many students spend hours in front of their desks without really studying. Studying means acquire knowledge, so know what you're doing at the end of the working day. A day spent reading lectures without actually studying anything (=recording) is a day wasted;

5. Reward yourself: once you've completed the day's programme and acquired all the knowledge you need, don't hesitate to let your body and mind breathe a little (but avoid alcohol if possible!);

6. Pay attention to the quality of the study materials: if you are familiar with a mediocre material, even a perfect one, the result of the examination will be mediocre at best;

7. Select relevant information from the material itself, rather than writing a vast 800-page summary for a 1000-page course (anatomy, public law): students don't have the time to play Egyptian scribe or medieval monk 😉

8. Understanding, but also memorise You only memorise what you understand. But you have to memorise what you have understood. Understanding and memorising are certainly consubstantial operations, but they are not identical;

9. Don't neglect to memorise the table of subjects studied at the end of the day: this gives structure to your knowledge and makes it more durable;
